Waldmeister - our new branch in the climatic health resort St. Peter / Upper Black Forest, 20km from Freiburg
Since a few days ago there is a new, small offshoot of the master rooms. For art lovers who prefer nature, peace and rural idyll. For bookworms, hiking enthusiasts and cooking enthusiasts.
Situated in an almost ideal place, both for the locals and for holidaymakers. Because it is a holiday resort that does not feel like tourism. Everything has its roots in a grown infrastructure - healthy village life between farms and organic top cuisine.
We wanted to create an apartment where you can come to yourself - cook, read, look and just be there. With high-quality furnishings, self-built or made by small European craftsmen. Not cool, not trendy but made with love, the highlights are on the doorstep anyway. Even if you have a wonderful view of the Feldberg and the vastness of the Black Forest from your sofa, we still recommend going out every now and then.
The holiday flat
The Waldmeister apartment is on the ground floor of a house built in 2019 according to ecological building guidelines with local craftsmen and materials. It has its own entrance and a sun terrace with a view of the Feldberg. The apartment is "barrier-free" but not explicitly "handicapped accessible". You enter the apartment from the parking lot at the house, to the bathroom with spacious shower up to the terrace without a step.

The situation in town
Situated on the outskirts of the village - but almost in the middle of the village.br>In the immediate vicinity of old Black Forest farms with horses and farming (organic eggs from the farm) is a panoramic hiking trail, from which you can reach the centre of the village in 5 minutes. There is village life around the baroque church with gastronomy, shopping facilities, a tourist information office, an indoor swimming pool and in the warm half of the year a farmers' market in the monastery yard.
St. Peter (as it describes itself)
With its approx. 2,500 inhabitants, the idyllic monastery village of St. Peter - a state-approved climatic health resort with a wonderful view in the middle of the Southern Black Forest Nature Park - stretches on a plateau between Thurner and Kandel from about 700 m to 1.The former monastery with baroque church, rococo library and princely hall, built by master builder Peter Thumb, is considered one of the most beautiful art-historical complexes in southern Germany. Peter you will find almost everything that will make your holiday unforgettable: wonderful hiking trails with a wonderful panorama, various sporting activities such as horseback riding, swimming, mountain biking, Nordic walking or cross-country skiing, an extensive children's programme, wellness offers, a farmers' market from May to October with a presentation of customs and traditional costumes, musical events of various kinds (concerts, open-air and Sunday organ concerts, the annual St. Peter's Music Days). All our hosts are committed to making your stay with us as pleasant as possible. In St. Peter you can still enjoy genuine "Black Forest hospitality" - whether in the "Bauernstube", in the traditional "Bauernstube" or in the star-awarded restaurant."
